Sunday Morning Worship

11 o’clock is a mix of traditional and contemporary
styles as we hear the Word of God, worship Him and
sing His praises. God’s Word teaches us how to prepare
to live, to die and how to trust God in making the daily
choices we face and the most important decisions of our lives.

From Southern Gospel to Christian Rock, tastes vary.
Pioneer is blessed with talented musicians and singers.
Sunday Morning Worship is a blend of traditional hymns
and contemporary hymns of praise. For the last two years,
the church has joined forces with Grace Baptist in
Tappahannock to present staged musicals at Christmas.
There are beautiful cantatas at Easter and special musical
events throughout the year through Singspirations with
local and homegrown talent and occasional concerts
featuring touring vocal groups.

The choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings at 7:30pm.

Pioneer is mission-minded

We are a partner with FISH, a non- profit organization serving Eastern Henrico. We’ve sent teams to Nuevo Laredo, Mexico and continue to support the church there with school supplies and Christmas shoeboxes. Our Youth have worked to refurbish houses for those in need in Northampton Co., VA through Impact VA and in Appalachia, Tennessee and Chicago through World Changers. Gowns for newborns at MCV, household supplies for a local women’s shelter, care packages for the military, study materials for Jail Ministries, building a wheelchair ramp, and baking cookies for the Raceway Ministry are just some of the many missions spearheaded by groups or organizations at the church.
